CTNNB1 / Beta Catenin Antibody - Analysis of Protein Array containing >19,000 full-length human proteins using Beta-Catenin Mouse Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (rCTNNB1/2173) Z- and S- Score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that a monoclonal antibody (MAb) (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary antibody) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProtTM array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD’s) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If targets on HuProtTM are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD’s) between the Z-score. S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of a MAb to its intended target. A MAb is considered to specific to its intended target, if the MAb has an S-score of at least 2.5. For example, if a MAb binds to protein X with a Z-score of 43 and to protein Y with a Z-score of 14, then the S-score for the binding of that MAb to protein X is equal to 29.

Specifications

Description
Beta Catenin antibody LS-C751113 is an unconjugated mouse recombinant monoclonal antibody to human Beta Catenin (CTNNB1). Validated for IF, IHC and WB.
Target
Human CTNNB1 / Beta Catenin
Synonyms
CTNNB1 | Beta-catenin | Catenin beta-1 | CTNNB | Beta Catenin
Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Clonality
IgG1,k Recombinant Monoclonal
Clone
rCTNNB1/2173
Conjugations
Unconjugated
Purification
Protein A/G purified
Modifications
Azide-free, Carrier-free. Also available Unmodified.
Immunogen
Recombinant full-length human beta-catenin protein. Antigen Molecular Weight: 92 kDa
Specificity
Beta-catenin associates with the cytoplasmic portion of E-cadherin, which is necessary for the function of E-cadherin as an adhesion molecule. In normal tissues, beta-catenin is localized to the membrane of epithelial cells, consistent with its role in the cell adhesion complex.
Applications
  • IHC - Paraffin (1 - 2 µg/ml)
  • Immunofluorescence (1 - 2 µg/ml)
  • Western blot (1 - 2 µg/ml)
Performing IHC? See our complete line of Immunohistochemistry Reagents including antigen retrieval solutions, blocking agents ABC Detection Kits and polymers, biotinylated secondary antibodies, substrates and more.
Usage
Immunofluorescence (1-2 ug/ml) - Immunohistology (Formalin-fixed - 1-2 ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT - Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.) Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Presentation
10 mM PBS
