CD270 (also called tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 14, TNFRSF14, herpes virus entry mediator A, HVEM) is a cell-surface receptor and member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. It binds four distinct ligands as well as herpes simplex virus and is involved in complex signaling pathways. CD270 is involved in the pathogenesis of various autoimmune, inflammatory, and neoplastic diseases. It is broadly expressed in many tissues as well as B cells, monocytes, and T cells. Mutations are associated with pediatric follicular lymphomas and with poor prognosis in follicular lymphomas.
