CD34

CD34 molecule

CD34 is a monomeric cell surface antigen with a molecular mass of approximately 110 kD that is selectively expressed on human hematopoietic progenitor cells. CD34 is a member of a family of single-pass transmembrane sialomucin proteins that show expression on early hematopoietic and vascular-associated tissue. CD34 is also an important adhesion molecule and is required for T cells to enter lymph nodes. It is expressed on lymph node endothelia whereas the L-selectin to which it binds is on the T cell.

Gene Name: CD34 molecule
Synonyms: CD34, CD34 molecule, CD34 antigen, HPCA1
Target Sequences: NM_001773 NP_001764.1 P28906
