CXCR5, a Chemokine Receptor, also called Burkitt's lymphoma receptor 1, is required for normal development of Peyer's patches, inguinal lymph nodes, and splenic follicles. CXCR5 binds B-lymphocyte chemoattractant (BLC) and is involved in B-cell homing to follicles in lymph nodes and spleen. Two isoforms are produced by alternative splicing.
