GPR162

G protein-coupled receptor 162

Protein A is an Orphan-U GPCR with an unknown ligand. This gene was identified from genomic analysis of a gene-dense region at human chromosome 12p13. It appears to be expressed mainly in the brain. However, its function is not known. Three alternatively spliced variants have been described; the full length of the third variant is yet to be determined.

Gene Name: G protein-coupled receptor 162
Family/Subfamily: GPCR , Orphan-U
Synonyms: GPR162, A-2, Gene rich cluster, A, G protein-coupled receptor 162, GRCA
Target Sequences: NM_019858 NP_062832.1 Q16538
