Alpha-Fetoprotein Antibody - Human Liver, Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE)
Alpha-Fetoprotein Antibody - Anti-AFP mouse monoclonal antibody immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY AFP.
Alpha-Fetoprotein Antibody - HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY AFP (Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-AFP.
Alpha-Fetoprotein Antibody - HEK293T cells transfected with either overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-AFP antibody, and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

Specifications

Description
Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) is a major plasma protein produced by the fetal yolk sac and liver. Alpha-fetoprotein expression in adults is often associated with hepatoma or teratoma. However, hereditary persistance of alpha-fetoprotein may also be found in individuals with no obvious pathology. The level of alpha-fetoprotein in amniotic fluid is used to measure renal loss of protein to screen for spina bifida and anencephaly. In immunohistochemistry, antibodies to AFP have cytoplasmic positivity in hepatocellular carcinomas, embryonal carcinomas and yolk sac and other germ cell tumors. In normal tissue, AFP is positive in the placenta, shows cytoplasmic positivity in the liver, and can be found in extracellular secretions.
