Specifications

Description
IL-10 is a cytokine produced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. This cytokine has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. It down-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II Ags, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. This cytokine can block NF-kappa B activity, and is involved in the regulation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies in mice suggested the function of this cytokine as an essential immunoregulator in the intestinal tract. Mutations in this gene are associated with an increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection and rheumatoid arthritis. In immunohistochemistry, it has plasma positivity and cytoplasmic staining in a few tissues. References: The UniProt Consortium. Specificity
Recognizes mouse Cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF), also known as interleukin-10 (IL-10). IL-10 is produced by Ly-1(CD5) expressing B cells and a subset of stimulated T cells. IL-10 has a wide range of biological properties, including the inhibition of macrophage and T helper cell mediated cytokine synthesis, and the suppression of the delayed hypersensitivity response. Is reported to neutralize the activity of murine IL-10.
Applications
  • IHC
  • IHC - Paraffin (10 µg/ml)
  • IHC - Frozen
  • Western blot (1:1000)
  • Flow Cytometry (1:10 - 1:100)
  • ELISA (1:200 - 1:2000)
